Fitball

Fit ball and yoga techniques are combined in this fun, dynamic and challenging class suitable for all levels of fitness. The unique dynamic fitball routines challenge the nervous system aiming to improve coordination, balance and stability. A strong core will benefit postural techniques and ensure a strong and supported spine. The class will increase muscular strength, flexibility, and general fitness. Exercise increases energy levels, improves health and wellbeing and boosts the immune system, rejuvenating the body and mind. The class runs for 8 weeks, 1 session per week.

Heart Health

The Heart Health program is a national initiative by Diabetes Australia on behalf of the Department of Veterans Affairs. Preventive Medicine and Rehabilitation Centre are happy to be implementing this 40 week program for Canberra based Vietnam Veterans. The aim of the program is to provide a structured program to increase the ‘Heart Health’ of Vietnam Veterans to promote social interaction and emotional stability and to encourage veterans to access appropriate ongoing heart health services. The Program is conducted exclusively by AAESS Accredited Exercise Physiologists.
